School of Military Divers was created in the 1882 by the order of czar Alexander the 3rd in
the city of Krondshtat. In 1922 it was moved to the port of Sevastopol. Today it
is an educational institution named after the admiral Oktiaborskiy at the
disposal of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. This school prepares
divers with a wide array of specialties – from underwater engineers to the
SPETSNAZ and explosives experts.
